S. Hoellermann
Stephan is the founder of Realisat and is still known to some for his first records in the early 2010s. Active as a producer since the mid-90s, he was inspired by a certain Chez Damier to share his work with the public. He is best known for his first release on Lazare Hoche (LH001), the now-reissued remix of Chez Damier’s “Soul Minimal,” his releases on Motivic, and his remix for Ralph Session feat. E-Man.
There are also plenty of unofficial edits in circulation that are played globally by a small network of DJs. His output was very limited then, as it is now. Release intervals contradict his personal approach to music. He also firmly rejects the use of AI in creative processes, a view he shares with all his Realisat colleagues.
Realisat is, in accordance with the meaning of the term, his way of making and presenting music together with artists he admires.
